Frequently Asked Questions
"What we want for ourselves, we want for everybody"
What is the MC Academy?
The Master of Ceremonies Academy is an organisation devoted to training experienced public speakers to use their presentation skills and step up to perform the prestigious role of the emcee at both corporate functions and wedding receptions.
How does the MC Academy deliver their training programs?
We hold weekend Master of Ceremonies workshops in major capital cities. These sessions help us establish the high standards that we expect, the correct attitude of service, and the MC style of flair and care.
These practical role-play events have helped us source the best available MCs and invite them to join our multi-lingual agency.
How else can I join the Agency WeddingMC.com.au if I cannot attend a workshop?
If you feel you have enough experience and the right approach to be a part of our team of great MCs, we would love to hear from you.
Currently, demand for excellent MCs exceeds supply - mainly because we are very fussy with who we accept. Our excellent reputation has taken years to build, so we will not risk the brand by chancing it with a poor performer.
The first step is to click here to download the MC Academy application form as a Microsoft Word document zip file. Fill it out with as much information as possible and email it back to weddingmc AT gmail.com We will make contact with you after we have had time to review the information supplied.
What fees are associated with joining WeddingMC.com.au?
We charge a small fee to upload your MC profile to our 'wed-site'. The terms and conditions and fees that are a part of our exclusive REPRESENTATION agreement are available online. You will need to make a request for the page-link from us as this information is confidential.
What can I expect from my representation on the site?
We are honoured to represent all our MCs and proud of the job they do. You can expect us to always display your MC profile to its best advantage; however, the quality of your portrait depends upon the quality of the media you supply and video that we record showcasing your style.
Of course, we cannot guarantee that every weekend you will have a MC booking. Also, in the colder regions, wedding work is seasonal.
What does Wedding MC.com.au expect from the MCs that represent the agency?
Our excellent reputation amongst venue owners and wedding industry professionals has been earnt as a direct result of the standards we ask our MCs to always maintain.
As the leader of this world-wide movement towards training experienced public speakers to work as wedding MCs, we set the bar and the example for others to emulate.
The Agreement that each MC signs clearly states our standards of immaculate attire, our no-alcohol policy (except for Toasts during speeches), punctuality and the desire to always exceed expectations.
A meeting with the bride and groom before the wedding is also mandatory.
